Change Management

Change Management

Any project that involves adopting or migrating to a new platform will raise many concerns for all those affected by the change. Examining, assessing and managing this impact is key to facilitating the transition and increasing ROI (return on investment) on the new technology.

Change Management, in conjunction with the technical and project management part of a project, deals with all these aspects by putting people, who are the real multiplier of the outcome, at the centre of the transformation.

Change Management follows a specific application methodology that maximises the benefits of the investment and targets:

  • People: putting people at the centre.
  • Process: reviewing processes in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and digitalisation.
  • Platform: introducing into the company the technologies identified to achieve the goal.

Macro-activities

Training activities are crucial for informed and effective adoption of the new tools, and must be carried out with a particular focus on user needs.

The change process is based on four macro-activities:

Sponsorship

Selecting the right project team.

Analysis & Organisation

Understanding the positive impact of the change, and opportunities for transformation.

Communication

Disseminating the corporate vision, and the benefits of the change.

Corporate Training

Sharing knowledge about the new technological tools, and the new working approach.

For each organisation, the path is organised into three phases

01

IT CORE (executive team) (strategy team)

The phase in which the objectives of the project are clarified, setting up the working team between Noovle and the customer. During this phase, training of technical staff is also carried out, and the first communication activities are initiated to make employees aware of the project start-up.

02

EARLY ADOPTERS

Noovle advises and supports the customer in identifying the needs and impact of the change in each work group, adapting the communication approach, the plan and the training methods. An important element in this phase is the Key Users programme – the ambassadors for change – a group of pilot users purposely chosen to facilitate the adoption of the new technology.

03

GLOBAL GO-LIVE

This phase deals with the development of the communication campaign, and the training plan for the entire company population. During this phase, it is particularly important to pay attention to the distribution of appropriate teaching tools for the project, and also to the collection of global feedback in order to evaluate user adoption.

Only people who are highly motivated to change, and who are aware of the right approach to change, can make the transformation process that a company’s management decides to undertake in the field of technology a success.
